Metro Manila Film Festival

Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy Movie

My professor asked us to watch any Metro Manila Film Festival Movie this end of 2013. I watched with my college friends, Pasi and Jessa, at SM Megamall around 4.30 in the afternoon. I chose Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy starring Vice Ganda, Maricel Soriano and Joey Marquez.

Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy 2013 is a Filipino Movie that is all about the story of Filipino siblings who happened to be quadruplets.  Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy is starred by Vice Ganda himself – the most popular host of It’s Showtime and a world class comedian.  This Pinoy Movie is going to be shown in all cinemas in the Philippines on Christmas Day, December 25, 2013.  Join us in watching this one of the most hilarious Pinoy Movies ever made to make your Christmas Season truly special and memorable. Honestly, I chose this movie because it was Vice Ganda, to relieve my stress and also I know that Filipinos are good in making comedy movies. I know that this movie was about the quadruplets played by Vice Ganda which the girl and boy grew in States while the gay and lesbian grew with their mother. The story tells about on how their paths cross in an unexpected incidence. The girl, named Girly and the gay, named Mark met where Girly had been mistakenly arrested for shoplifting inside the mall. Joey Marquez, their daddy confirmed that they were not twins but quadruplets made their life miserable. As they went back to the Philippines and look for their mother together with their siblings and for the liver transplant of the boy named Peter. Everything was not easy for them since they were grown up separately.

Sound is very important to the film viewing. It emphasizes the emotions and tone of the person who is talking. It gives the viewer a hint if the person is sad, happy, overwhelm and the like. It gives life to the show and somehow it gives clearer insight to the viewer on how they could take character’s line.

In this film, Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy, the characters deliver their lines very well. I didn’t hear any interruption and unclear pronunciation from the characters. The quality of the sound of the film in so clear, and the hidden microphone though the camera is near didn’t interrupt the sounds though they said many of the cameras have to be away from the microphone because it will be crash or voice over. The motion of this movie is fine. I didn’t even notice that Vice Ganda is only one and the role he played was four namely as Girlie, Peter, Mark and Panying. Aside from that, the motion of main characters is firm and they are coordinated to the tunes/music of the scene. Vice Ganda in row acting the same faces make the editor much harder to edit every single frame they have. The scenes are well coordinated also with the characters.
The lightning of this movie is fine also. It is not that bright and it is not the dim. All scenes have shown attractive and pleasing to viewer’s eye. All colors wear by characters were lively and it shows that this movie is really a comedy and it will make you laugh hard. They always wear light colors that very soothing to eyes. Every scene never got lousy or bored. But most important is, I enjoyed watching with my college buddies!
